Dr. Ellett was born in Richmond, Virginia, and attended Hampden-Sydney College, where he graduated summa cum laude with a BS in mathematics and biology and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He then completed the MD/PhD program at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he was the distinguished graduate of the year. His research focused on transplantation immunology. He then stayed at the Medical University of South Carolina for his internship and residency training, where he was fully trained in minimally invasive surgery, including robotic surgery.
Dr. Ellett joined Lowcountry Urology clinics in mid-2016. He has special interests in all aspects of Urology, including medical management of stone disease, men’s health, female incontinence, as well as robotic urologic surgery.
Outside of Urology, Dr. Ellett enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys sailing and going to the beach.
