April Smith is a Maine native who moved to Charleston, SC from North Pole, Alaska. She earned her BS in Health Sciences in 2012 before completing her degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Washington School of Medicine - MEDEX in 2016.
April has spent the entirety of her PA career specializing in men’s health while working in correctional medicine for the State of Alaska. She was the Director at Large for the Alaska Academy of Physician Assistants and she is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Outside of work, April enjoys spending time with her husband who serves in the Air Force and her two children, Gavin and Lillian. As a family, they enjoy going on new adventures, traveling, camping and spending time at the beach.
